As some of you may have noticed, last week for the first time the association had someone come and plow the alleys to try to clear out some of the ice/slush before it could refreeze.  Definitely seem to help.  After the next big snow, we'll be looking to have alleys plowed out before it can get to the ice stage.

Not much board activity over the holidays, but now that the holidays are behind us, we have a lot of work to do.  We keep hearing the transfer of control from the developer to the homeowners is just about here, but seems like it really is this time.  Regardless of the timing of that transfer, the board still has plenty of work to do with reevaluating all our vendors for 2010, preparing a homeowner survey, and getting ready for elections after the transfer is complete.

If any of you are interested in serving on the association board or just volunteering some time to help the association, please contact us at board@hellgatemeadows.com

Meeting minutes from the last general meeting and the last board meeting have been posted in the Meeting Minutes section of the website.  The meeting minutes do a good job of summarizing activities of the board recently. The board is still awaiting completion of the amendments to the covenants that will transfer final control of the association to homeowners. Progress has been slow on this front, but we are hopefully the lawyer will be completing the paperwork in the next week or two.

As a volunteer board that meets infrequently, we may not have new entries to this blog as often as a blog deserves, but hopefully this will be a good tool for communications that is more frequent and more accessible than meeting minutes.  Plus with ability for neighbors to leave comments hopefully it can be a good way to community discussion to occur.
